Tutankhamun

Cool thing about ancient Egyptians was that they believed Pharaoh to be an immortal spirit. Not exactly a God but he was given the soverengthy over the land and people. He was believed to be the embodyment of the conjunction of Horus and Osiris. Horus, the falcon headed God had the power of vision and he was awake to malevolence and chaos and Osiris who was the father of Horus represented the tradition and the past – order.

Pharaoh was both the carrier of the past tradition and he has the ability to see the current affairs and the future. So it seems that the ancient Egyptians had their value system figured out and at least in theory Pharaoh represented that union. He was walking on the path between chaos and order. Deviation to either side would mean the collapse of the society.
